On October 8, 2024, asbestos abatement was completed at Hickman Hall in Jubilee University. Thanks to the skilled work of Gehm Environmental, this potentially hazardous material was carefully and professionally removed, ensuring the safety of everyone who will use the building in the future.
The asbestos removal was done following all Federal, State, and local regulations. The project team has laid the foundation for a healthier and safer environment for all who will enter the building in years to come.
With the asbestos removal complete, the next step in the restoration journey will focus on brick repair. This essential work will help to strengthen the structure and preserve the historical character of the hall. The restoration work will resume in spring 2025, when the weather is more favorable for repair work.
Hickman Hall holds a special place in the hearts of many, especially those with memories from Wentworth Military Academy. The vision for its restoration is clear: to create a space that can be used for God’s glory. Through training the next generation of worship leaders, the hall is destined to be a place where lives are touched and transformed.
